WHY IS COLOMBIAN COFFEE, ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD

SO SPECIAL?

Colombia is famous for growing some of the best coffee beans in the world.

Grown in mountainous small farms with tradition and expertise, the coffee beans are HANDPICKED which ensures the QUALITY (the right maturity, color and conditions).

Colombian coffee is from 100% arabica beans which are planted at the optimum conditions of altitude, temperature and climate.

Given the optimum growing and hand-picking conditions quality arabica beans (retain more natural sugars) can be roasted dark without turning excessively bitter, making this coffee ideal for espresso-based drinks.

Colombian coffee has the desirable mild and well-balanced flavor with generally preferred aromas that tend towards hints citrus, fruits, and perhaps of spice and acidity levels of medium to high. Mostly preferred as a dark roast, it can also be roasted light for a range of more distinct and delicate aroma.

In Colombia all the small coffee farms work together have do so with a sense of pride that goes into each cup not so easy to find in large-scale corporate farms of other origins. Sure, not only Colombian farmers take pride in their work, but there is just something special about the way they do it there and the importance in the national culture
It is also worth noting that microclimates of Colombia have seen in the past decades the significant development of specialty coffees as well as organic culture. This is a small part of the industry with strong image and following.
